Danielle Mendoza (she/her) is a 2D animation generalist and artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. She directs, storyboards, designs, hand animates, and occasionally dabbles in 3D animation. Currently making things move at Flux Animation Studio.
Inspired by the nature of ink and handmade textures, she is drawn to abstract visuals, and narratives centred around human experiences.
Animation Director for "Darkness Follows." Lead 2D Animator for "Our Aotearoa." (Best NZ Short Documentary at Doc Edge Film Festival 2022). She has worked on Disney's "How NOT to Draw," "The Legend of Vox Machina" and "Rennervations."
